Thank you for writing to me. I have reflected quite a lot on our discussion in Beijing and for me, our meeting was one of the highlights of my trip.

I think it is great that you have managed to start your "Top Energy Building Energy Forum". I am also glad that you are receiving such a lot of interest from people through the internet.

As for possible affiliations, I think that it is important to develop links both domestically - within China - and internationally.

It could be worthwhile to increase links with the US Green Building Council - who are responsible for the LEED Rating Systems. The USGBC has a number of Chapters and Affiliates throughout the USA - including the Green Roundtable in Boston - and you could easily see what sort of focus they have by browsing through

You might also want to look at GreenGlobes, based in Toronto, Canada, which has an online rating system.

Have you ever heard of the organization HK-BEAM? This is the "Hong Kong Building Assessment Method", and may have some good synergies for your organization.

WAlso, based on the various presentations at the Beijing Conference, it seemed that there is quite a lot of interest in sustainable building practices in such cities as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Kunming, Hangzhou and Harbin (please excuse my poor spelling of the city names!). How could your Top Energy Building Energy Efficiency Forum bring interested people in these cities together?
