时间：初定于2010年5，6月份。因为考虑5，6月份是南京最好的季节，同时也是美国和加拿大很多大学暑期的开始，很多教授、专家和学者有时间来参加会议。没有定在2009年是因为JBP（JOURNAL OF BUILDING PHYSICS）的主编MARK BOMBERG作为美方的CHAIR，需要在09年去土耳其参加第4届国际建筑物理大会，我也准备去参加这个会议，以便大家具体商谈一些组织会议的问题，所以我们暂时准备把会议安排在2010年，也好给我们充足的时间把这次大会准备好，准备充分，毕竟是第一届，开个好头很重要。1 W+ d0 L, m+ p3 h0 E

[; K, IBOMBERG先生最近发来了一份刚在美国明尼阿波利斯召开的BEST-1会议的议程，希望互相讨论确定一下第一届中美加国际建筑物理大会的议题。根据我在美国、加拿大和中国学习工作的经历，我感觉虽然科学和工程的根本是相通的，但由于三国建筑发展实际的不同，还是有一些相异之处需要考虑，这对于设计大会的议题至关重要。因此，我们想通过TOPE这个平台征求一下大家宝贵的意见，希望各位专家、同行和网友畅所欲言。附件里是BEST-1大会的FLYER（宣传页），请大家看一看，然后发表意见。（我是第一次上传附件，还不知道能不能成功）。简单说，BEST-1讨论的议题有：4 S* D5 w  I+ l  u, s1 X3 _

我国现在外墙外保温系统（EIFS）是个热点话题，关于施工质量、实际使用效果、抗火性能、成本等都有广泛的讨论和争议，这个议题恐怕应该加进大会。

另外，本次大会拟设2个TRACK，一个是“基本原理”，偏重于研究；另一个就是“工程实践”，所以各位外墙外保温行业的专家和同行，请积极参与，你们的实际工程经验、体会和思考是我们非常欢迎的内容。

6 s- A- ?( z5 I. y2 G5 i) b由于这将是一次大型国际会议，按照惯例，会议语言将是英文，论文需要用英文提交，如果朋友们觉得有困难，请发表你们的意见。BOMBERG先生和我也在考虑这个问题，我们不希望语言成为办好这次大会的障碍，我们衷心地希望国内业界人士（学术界和工业界）积极参与，或者投论文或者参加会议。因为这次会议设在中国，我们国家目前在这个行业发展和现状就是会议理所当然讨论的重点。美方和加拿大将有很多这方面的专家和学者出席，将是一个很好的国际同行交流和互相学习的机会。

呵呵，这个会议挺好，不过，我们对中文的东西还来不及消化呢，若消化英文的内容恐怕会疲于奔命了。建议这个议题置顶。

0 B. M9 K  s; m8 {( O( q# u$ S3 g我们讨论过这个问题，由于是大型国际会议，按照惯例是使用英语作为会议语言。另外，这里的朋友的英语水平显然要比美加同行的中文水平高很多。 7 q+ R7 d* |, n  u1 w, H

BOMBERG先生提过出两本论文集的办法，同样内容，一本英文，一本中文。可是我感觉这个工作量太巨大，而且对于美加的同行们，让他们提交中文论文显然没有任何可能（根本不会中文），组织力量翻译也不太现实，一是工作量太巨大，二是那些都是专业论文，而且来自各个领域，很难找到合适的人翻译。现在暂时决定的折衷办法是所有论文都附中英文摘要。

: g. ]* {- A* I# N5 s/ _8 B( y和HVAC系统联系的部分肯定有，比如HVAC系统的COMMISSIONING就在BEST-1会议上出现。另外，建筑节能、室内环境和舒适度等都和暖通空调系统紧密相关。

6 Y6 i& e* E) q0 L; \6 e; O; M( b事实上，国际上大规模的建筑物理或建筑技术科学方面的大会，每次都有很多搞HAVC的专家和学者出席。而ASHRAE每年的年会也会有很多搞建筑物理和建筑技术科学的人参与。两个领域是紧密联系的。

4 C5 ?/ s4 w; u: c; }2 M6 P我们非常欢迎HAVC业界的朋友们积极参与这次大会。

COMMISSIONING在我们的工作中，理解成 调试。注意，是理解不是翻译。翻译的话，很难找到一个合适的词阐明他所有的含义。

我也觉得如果找一个词，“调试”恐怕是最合适的。不过正如FLYJEEP所说，想用一个中文词汇反应COMMISSIONING在英文里涵盖的意思比较困难。

在另一个相关的帖子中，有朋友问“大会论文集有没有正式书号”，答案是肯定有，而且这次会议将会争取进入ISTP检索。由于是第一届，所以可能需要做些工作，我们会尽力的。

下面是JBP（建筑物理学报）主编MARK BOMBERG先生最新撰写的EDITORIAL，介绍了JBP的历史，最新的动态以及目前在世界范围内筹办的会议，包括正在和东南大学建筑学院合作筹备的本届大会。

P+ fJournal of Building Physics started 32 years ago as Journal of Thermal Insulation and followed the increase in world’s ecological conscience.  First this Journal found that thermal insulation, while the key to energy conservation must be supported by a number of other modifications to the building enclosure. It expanded its focus to include building enclosure and building science. More recently it became an official Journal of the International Association of Building Physics and CIB commission on Heat and Moisture Transfer in Buildings. The current focus of this Journal includes Heat, Air, Moisture, Salt and Pollutant transfer through Building Enclosure and their effects on energy use, indoor environment and durability of the construction – i.e. the key elements of technical basis for sustainability of buildings.4 |7 M" F$ Z5 H5 b! J* g$ d

% V- Z' z- o$ {6 e- nIn this capacity the Journal initiated long term collaboration with different conferences around the world. An example is a previously published special issue is April 2005 when five research papers from the Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research on vacuum insulated panels published together to address different aspects of the new technology. The next issue related to this topic is expected in first part of 2009 where invited experts from this area will discuss progress in this area.

& N3 _1 }; ^) w4 Z  K; X7 S# LApril 2008, was dedicated to the 2007 Dresden conference under the motto „Climatically adapted building design – damage free renovation“ Scientists and practicioners from 20 countries discussed the responsibility of the architect, civil engineer and HVAC specialist for sustainable building construction and global climate protection. Selected authors from this conference were invited to review moisture buffering and advances in poro-mechanical approaches to durability assessment.

' g* Q3 G  |4 ^# D6 Z4 M4 MAnother important development in Building Physics is creation of bi-annual conferences in US and Canada sponsored jointly by Architectural and Engineering Associations in NA. This will provide a yearly forum for review of the progress in Building Enclosure Science and Technology (BEST). BEST 1 takes place in June 2008 in Minneapolis, MN and the next year Canadian BEST is scheduled in May 2009 in Montreal. The following three issues will present some papers simultaneously submitted to the journal and the BEST conference. The journal papers are carefully reviewed by 3 reviewers. The extended abstract and power point presentation are given to the participants of the conference but accepted papers are published in the journal. This time there will not be a special issue but these papers are placed together with regular papers (our Journal has limitations on the waiting time).

Sometimes, however, the Journal takes even more active role. For instance in October 2008 it co-sponsors together with Catholic University of Leuven an expert workshop on material characterization and verification of Heat, Air Moisture (HAM) models. After the discussion in Belgium and the review, accepted  papers will be published.

Today we welcome a new member of the editorial board from P.R. China and his new position brings a difficult task to organize a first international building physics symposium and workshop in English in China (Nanjing, probably in May 2010). So this is a direct challenge to the leading Universities in China (such as Architecture faculty of Southeast U, Nanjing; School of Mechanical Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai; School of Municipal and Environmental Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology) as well as Building Physics groups at ETH Zurich, Catholic University of Leuven, INSA-Toulouse, Fraunhofer-Institut für Bauphysik, Holzkirchen and Syracuse University, USA and other leading groups to volunteer the participation in this event. The theme of this symposium and workshop is “Building physics as means to ensure durability, good indoor climate and high energy efficiency of buildings”.

We denote these two organizations as co-chair of the Symposium and workshop. This event will be held in English in May 9 -11, 2010 in Nanjing, China and will be followed up by two workshops held in Nanjing and Beijing respectively.

1 N+ r( e" Y% A) N* D, o% K3 x: e, KThe focus of this event is on energy efficiency, construction durability and good indoor environment and combining the scientific papers with demonstration of industrial systems and solutions, particularly those related to the exterior insulation of high- and low-rise high performance buildings or interior rehabilitation of mold-prone dwellings are issues where knowledge of building physics is critical for the progress. Exterior Insulated Finishing system is a hot topic in many countries right now and a lot questions need to be asked and answered.  Therefore the motto of this international event is “Where the Building Physics meets the Practice?! l: f- ~8 A2 R% i- K0 {- b( t
